WARNING: Do not use any of these recipes if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed in the recipe.Honey & Oatmeal Facial Mask – 4 tbsp rolled oats – 1 tbsp honey – 1 egg yolk Grind the oats into a coarse powder using a blender or a food processor and then pour into a small bowl. Add 1 tbsp of honey over the oat powder and mix thoroughly until an even consistency is reached. Separate an egg, discard the egg white and add the yolk to the honey and oat mixture to form a paste. Once the paste has been created apply the mixture to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, rinse the mask off with warm water and dry your face with a towel. ** add a splash of lemon juice if you have oily skin. Honey & Sugar scrub – 1 tsp honey – ½ tsp sugar Mix the two ingredients together until you get an even consistency. Apply the mixture to a clean face, leave for 2 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. Olive Oil & Apple Face Scrub – 1 tbsp granulated sugar or ground oatmeal – 2 tbsp Apple sauce – 1 tbsp Olive oil Mix all the ingredients together and gently scrub face for 1 minute. Then rinse the scrub off your face with warm water, pat dry and follow with a moisturiser. Carrot Face Mask – 2- 3 large carrots – 4 ½ tbsp honey Start by cooking the carrots and then mash into a soft consistency. Mix with the honey and then apply to skin. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes and rinse off with cool water. Cranberry Cleanser – ½ cup pureed cranberries – ¼ tsp of honey Mix the cranberries and the honey together and apply to your skin in gentle circular motions. It’s best to apply the mixture to your face while in the bath/shower as the mixture is quite runny. Also have a towel near by just in case things get messy. Leave the mixture on your face for 2-3 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Gently pat dry and then moisturise your skin. Red Wine Mask – 3 tbsp Red wine, – 1 egg white – 1 tbsp honey Gently mix together the three ingredients into a smooth consistency. Apply to a clean face and neck, taking care to avoid the eye area. For extra relaxation and comfort, apply cool cucumbers or cool tea bags to you eyes and relax for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the mixture off with lukewarm water and follow with a moisturiser.
